We ask that all children wear school uniform when attending school, or when participating in a school-organised event outside normal school hours. The uniform is very flexible to allow for all price ranges and personal taste.  

Our uniform options are:

• White polo shirt or short-sleeved shirt.  

• Red jumper, cardigan or sweatshirt.  

• Plain grey trousers, shorts, skirt or pinafore 

• Plain dark jogging bottoms (option for younger children) 

• Red / white ‘gingham’ dress (summer option) 

• Plain black sensible shoes or shoe-style trainers.

Pupils wear their PE kit to school on relevant days,  but need to change for after school sports clubs, such as rugby if the club falls on a non PE day. 

For PE, pupils will need:  

• A plain t-shirt in the colour of their house team (red/Ddraig, blue/Afon, yellow/Castell, green/ Cennin) or a plain white t-shirt. 

• Plain black / dark shorts or jogging bottoms.  

• Plain black / dark trainers.  

For health and safety reasons, at all times only stud earrings and sensible footwear are permitted.  Pupils are not permitted to wear jewellery for PE and earrings must be removed. 

We want to ensure that any costs associated with school uniform are kept to a minimum, so parents/carers are asked to avoid expensive branded products, as this can create pressure to other families to do the same. Second hand uniform in a good condition is kept in our ‘uniform shop’.  Polo shirts and sweatshirts may be purchased locally in Pencoed at ‘IQ School Wear’ or in Bridgend Industrial Estate at ‘Uniform2go’.   

Please ensure that all items of clothing, including PE kit, has your child’s name on.
