Croesty Primary School

Final Farewell

It's with great sadness that we have to say a final farewell to Ken King former Chair of Governors for Croesty Primary School. Mr King passed away recently at the Princess of Wales Hospital and will be fondly remembered I'm sure by a great many people who have had a connection to Croesty Primary School since its opening in June 1970. Ken completed an astonishing 38 years unbroken service as a Governor and Chair of Governors for our School. In this time Mr King presided over many changes and some difficult times. As a school community we will always remember him for the tremendous contribution that he made to the success of Croesty.

Mr King finally retired as a governor in July 2012 but continued to visit  taking a strong interest in our school. He last visited us this July for our Summer Fete which he very much enjoyed. A highlight of this visit for Mr King was meeting  our new Chair of Governors, William Bond.

Our thoughts and sympathy are now with Mr King's wife, his two daughters and the family.
